stress free night

Today was a very relaxed day. We had Hebrew and then instead of Jewish studies in our classrooms we had a tiyul on the kibbutz. We went to the old burial caves on the kibbutz from when it was an ancient civilization. It was cool but a little weird. We spent a good hour and half outside which was longer than I expected, so I didn’t put sunscreen on and what do you know I now have a nice tan/sunburn. My class wasn’t outside as much as the other 2 classes though. This is because my teacher wasn’t here today so our vice principal (David Solomon) was watching our class. But b/c he had to work with the other teachers too, he sent my class back to our rooms for a half hour break around 12. When we went back to class at 12:30 (it was actually a little later) we just had a 10 min conversation on yom kippur and then we had more free time. So I went to lunch and then had an entire hour free. Then I had my regular classes. Nothing to extraordinary happened in any of them. Then I had a free period and went to dinner. After dinner we had announcements and small yom kippur program with our principal in preparation for our trip to Jerusalem for the holiday. Luckily though we don’t have to move out of our rooms for this overnight. Then we had some free time. I packed, took out all the vocab flash cards in the back of my sat prep book so I have something to do during services (we were told to bring books or something of the sort), and just relaxed with my friends. It was nice to not stress out over anything even though I have homework to do over the holiday. Ordering pizza at night has become a big thing so my friends and I just went around for a while asking for pizza (luckily people are nice and we were able to have some). My friend also downloaded the season premier of gossip girl so we watched it and it was SOOOO good!!!!!! That’s basically it for today. But now I have to finish packing and go to bed. Hope everyone has a good fast. I will post tomorrow night if I get internet at the hotel but I don’t think I will so I will post when I get back to tzuba on sat. night.
