Familiar Food

Hey!
So today was our last day of school for the week. usually we would have hebrew and jewish studies tomorrow morning but we have a mitzvah project instead. This morning we had our usual routine...hebrew and then jewish studies. In hebrew we learned plural verbs and it jewish history we discussed Noah's ark and learned about the peace meetings that began today at home. Then we had lunch, and classes. all the general studies classes go by so quickly that i feel like all we have time to do is review. In econ. we discussed Adam smith and learned more about the history of economics. In physics we actually took notes! it was wonderful! but we have a test on monday which isn't so wonderful. My english teacher was sick today so i had a free period to relax which was nice. Then I had math which as usual was good. But we are still going over stuff from the last 4 years so it is a little boring. Then I went back to my room, straightened my hair, ate a quesadilla, and got ready for the mall. around 7:30 we got on the bus and went to the mall in Jerusalem. It wasn't really anything special, it was mostly stores that we have in the u.s. but i did get food. i had a hamburger (i just didnt really eat the buns) which was nice cause i haven't had a lot of protein since i got sick. right before we got on the bus i got a small strawberry banana smoothie that was really small and expensive (a large at home prob. cost less) but i needed something that my stomach was familiar with. Then we got back on the buses and went back to Tzuba. We had some free time, but we also had room checks so we had to clean our rooms (it wasn't fun). We have late wake up tomorrow though so being up late right now isn't too big on an issue. But i am tired so goodnight!

  1. Hey! So glad that you're enjoying Israel... and studying Adam Smith. You should read the Theory of Moral Sentiments, he's better as a virtue ethicist than an economist (but that may just be the econ-hating philosopher in me coming out.) Keep having an amazing time, and I will keep reading here to make sure you're staying out of trouble ;) Have fun!
    Love,
    Clare
